The Indian market has been witnessing a decline for the past three trading sessions. In three days, the Nifty fell by 428 points and finally closed at 24,852. The reason for the selling pressure in the Indian market is the decline in the US market and signs of a slowdown in the US economy. The Dow Jones also fell by 1% or 410 points on Friday. The tech index Nasdaq saw a decline of 2.5%. On a weekly basis, the Nifty saw a decline of 1.5%. Hero MotoCorp was the top gainer, while Coal India was the top loser. This week, the PSU index, oil and gas index, and metals saw a decline of up to 4%. Hero MotoCorp and Asian Paints were the top gainers in the Nifty, while Coal India, ONGC, and Tata Motors were the top losers, with a weekly decline of up to 7%.”
